Burlap Candy Cane Wreath

Hi everyone! I’m getting so antsy with Christmas coming up, how about all of you? It’s so fun getting everything decorated for the holidays! I love wreaths and I’ve decided to make a few for Christmas, my first one being the Christmas ornament wreath, now this candy cane wreath, and I already have another one in mind… can’t wait!

I saw this at the Dollar Tree, where I get everything it seems. I wasn’t too fond of how it was and seen the potential of what it could be, in my basket it went!

I took off the greenery just by pulling it off and got to it.Burlap Candy Cane Wreath At first, I was just going to wrap the burlap around the form with the garland still on and then realized how easy it was to take off. I took off the garland that was on the candy cane form by unwrapping it, it was super easy to do.

Burlap Candy Cane WreathI had burlap garland that I had used for other projects and figured it would work well with this project and it did! I cut randomly sized pieces and wrapped it around the form and then super glued it down.

Burlap Candy Cane WreathI did this for the whole form. Let me just tell you, super glue is not my friend. There were tons of “ouch” moments in the making of this wreath.

Burlap Candy Cane WreathIt took me about a yard and a half to cover the form.

Burlap Candy Cane WreathI used twine to wrap around the form to make it look more candy cane-ish.

Burlap Candy Cane WreathI liked the greenery so I went ahead and used it again. I also cut off a part of the red garland and wrapped around the middle part.

Burlap Candy Cane WreathI like it so much better than how it originally was and it was only a dollar! Score!
