Burlap Container Gardens
This is a quick post for a quick and easy project.
Recently I was in Lowe’s for a few flowers ( before Mike brought home his truck load ) and found a roll of burlap in the clearance section.
I have had several metal buffet pan holders hanging around and thought they would make
great container gardens.
After painting several signboards it was time to put it all together.
I started by wrapping the whole piece with the burlap. Then I attached two boards to each side
with screws to hold the burlap in place and fill in the space.
For the sides I cut the burlap in half down the middle and wrapped around the
bottom and sides.
Then I pulled the pieces thru the handles and tied in a knot.
Once all was wrapped I filled the bottom with Sphagnum Moss to help hold in the
potting soil and help with drainage.
Then just filled with flowers and some herbs.
Here they are along with the car rim planters.
I also completed another potting bench for last weekend.
It was the perfect place to display the burlap gardens.
