Boy do I have something fun for you today! Not only do I have an adorable ornament idea for you (if I do say so myself).
My friend and I were on one of our trips to Ikea (for 99 cent breakfast) and saw these candle holders and knew we just had to make ornaments out of them. We didn’t exactly know what we were going to do, but we figured that we needed about 20 of them.
Do you do that too? I’m sure you do, that is why we get along so well.
We sat in my office and brainstormed for about 15 minutes about turning these into chalkboards and writing something on them. But then we would need to write pretty and ain’t nobody got time for that.
So I opened my Silhouette stash drawer and pulled out an unopened package of adhesive kraft paper. Then the wheels started moving again.
We came up with 3 different designs that we liked. Then it’s as easy as cut, weed, peel and stick.
Boom. Drops weeding tool–walks off stage.
Okay, well there is really one more step, but it’s not all that interesting. Drill a hole and thread the baker’s twine through it.
See, not interesting.
But I guess that is the part that makes it an ornament…so…
What do you think of my little trio? I pretty much adore them.
