DIY Glittered Pinecone Ornaments

We’ll have the largest tree that we’ve ever had this year so we will need additional ornaments, however, I don’t want to spend more on ornaments than the entire cost of the tree. For that motive I will make some and decided to share with you my projects.

DIY Glittered Pinecone OrnamentsA couple of months ago I gathered a couple bags full of pinecones during a walk and they’ve sat lonely and abandoned until I ordered our tree. After I ordered the tree a sinking feeling met my stomach when I realized that I only had enough ornaments for a tabletop tree. It was time to make use of the pinecones and there’s just enough to intersperse throughout the tree.

With the chip brush, brush on just bit of glue on one half of the pinecone and sprinkle on glitter to coat the glue and let dry and then do the other half. Once your pinecones are glittered, tie baker’s twine on the top few bracts of the pinecone and voila – an ornament! Repeat the process above, several dozen more times until you have the number of glitzy pinecones that you need!
