DIY Nameplate Necklaces

I recently made these adorable clay necklaces for several of my friends and customers. If you’ve never worked with polymer clay, it’s really an awesome medium to use for DIY projects!

What You’ll Need:

  • Premo Sculpey polymer clay in the color of your choice
  • Acrylic paint or gold leaf paint if you’d like to alter the final color
  • Rubber alphabet stamps (Look in the dollar bins at Michael’s & Target! They usually have sets of these. Along with a ton of cute notecards, office supplies, wrapping paper, and other things that are only $1. I buy so many things from these bins. You’ve been warned.)
  • Jump rings
  • Chain
  • Clasp
  • Toothpick
  • Jewelry Pliers

Step 2. Stamp each slice with a name or phrase.

Step 4. Bake in the oven at 280 degrees for 30 minutes. (You may want to check your package of clay for exact baking instructions)

Step 6. Using jewelry pliers, attach the jump rings to the name tag. Connect it to the chain.

Step 7. Add your clasp!

DIY Nameplate Necklaces The final product! Aren’t they cute?? I want to wear them all but that would just be weird.
