DO you have old sweaters? I have some stacked in the back of my closet. You know the ones, stretched out, pilled up, and stained. Well, go grab them and let’s make some sweet Christmas stockings for next to nothing!
This is the sweater I started with. I just cut out a stocking shape, with the sweater zipped so it had a front and back.
Then I grabbed a large plastic needle and my jute and just started sewing around the edges.
I added some extra stitches along the top and a little loop for easy hanging.
Then I cut the letter h out of a granola bar box and hot glued sticks to the front.
I tied the letter to the top of the stocking and it is now ready for Santa to fill with goodies!
If you are into eco-firendly Christmas ideas I hope you will like my little project.
