Groundhog Day Dessert

I wanted to do something fun with the kids. And well my oldest has really been bugging me about making a recipe (she is wanting to cook more and more now) so I thought we could make a fun Groundhog Day Dessert.

And well I was really inspired when we went to the store and I saw some teddy grams. I mean come on they look like cute little groundhogs don’t they? Okay maybe not totally but well they are pretty darn close (just don’t go look up a picture of a groundhog and you will believe they look like this by the time you are done reading this post!).

Groundhog Day DessertSo I got both girls together to help make this yummy treat and they really had fun making it. The only problem we had was when it was time to mash the oreo cookies. My youngest got VERY upset that we were smashing the cookies. She started crying and screaming COOKIE COOKIE. Who knew smashing cookies would be so tramatic. But no worries, I gave her a cookie for herself and she recovered quickly and my oldest was able to smash the cookies (not sure if I should be worried over how much fun she actually had smashing them though).
