We have been feverishly crafting at the Howard’s for the Holiday Home Tour next week. The kids have been working on these easy hand-painted Christmas ornaments made from cork coasters just like the ones we made last week. You can see the tutorial of the Coaster Ornaments here. You could also use cardboard, bristol board or clay. We had these cork coasters with a logo on the back and thought they were great to re-purpose.
They were first painted in a solid color. We kept with the red, white and bright green colors that I am carrying through the House Tour. Colored dots were dabbed on and then they were hole punched and a cute ribbon was tied through.
I have an 8 foot Christmas tree to fill so we crafted many different styles in the same color variations. They are all waiting in a basket to take over to the house, I can’t wait to see how the decorated tree turns out.
