How to save and repurpose candle holders
So, you find this great candle. Smells yummy, looks good.
You and the candle enjoy hours of burn-time together.
But when the wick is gone, you don’t have to throw away that great glass jar/vase/container!
Just pop the whole thing in the freezer for a few hours.
You know, right next to the Eggos 😉
Take it out of the freezer and give it a shake, and the wax should pop/slide right out, giving you a great vessel to use for whatever you want!
I usually give the glass a pass through the dishwasher before use just to get it squeaky clean.
If you have a jar like Yankee Candle jars (or similarly-shaped, with a mouth smaller than the overall opening), you’ll need to break up the frozen wax to get it out.
A few careful taps with a butter knife and you’ll be set!
Once you’re wax-free, you have a brand new vase/jar/whatever
to add a little something pretty to your world. 🙂
