I am so glad that Spring has arrived! I love planting new flowers, herbs and vegetables. Just to see them grow a little each day makes me smile!
Since I had so much success with my first pallet potting table build I decided to make another one.
This one was made with a metal back that Mike helped me with.
When I was assembling the pallet and boards for legs I needed to add a piece in order to screw it all together.
This created an extra block of wood on the front and that turned into a “DRAWER”.
It really is just the extra block painted bright red and a handle was added to give it a drawer effect.
The metal back piece started out as a daybed frame. Mike cut it to size and added side pieces for stability. Then it was spray painted black and attached with screws.
Since the back piece was painted black I just went with a black theme and red accents.
This is what the final piece looks like now.
I really love the black with the little pops of red added.
Since the back piece is open, we added a few “S” hooks for hanging and I spray painted a few clothes pins red. These can be moved around as needed.
The top and the bottom platforms were stained using Min-Wax Chestnut and all was covered with poly to protect it from the elements.
Of course there are hooks on the front and sides for hanging tools and “CORONA”.
I’m loving this black and red potting table. It adds a bit of class to the yard!
