Pretty Pink Tissue Pom Poms Garland Tutorial

You’ve probably seen a multitude of tissue pom pom tutorials – and for a great reason! They’re so pretty, and so easy to make. While planning for our 1-month pretty party, I was very inspired by the blossoming cherry blossoms outside. They’re really the best sign that spring is finally here. Growing up in a tropical country, I’ve never really seen how much weather can affect people and how they view their day. With our winters and rainy days lasting so long, working with pretty pink blossoms makes me oh-so-excited for spring!

Materials for making tissue pom poms only really involve 3 things:

  • Tissue paper (in your choice of colour!)
  • A pair of scissors
  • Twine

Try to separate those sheets out one by one. Start from one side so that it opens up like a fan. I found this video tutorial easy to follow as well if I’m being vague!

Fluff it up as much as you need to make them look just like a flower. It really does resemble cherry blossoms, doesn’t it? What do you think?

Pretty Pink Tissue Pom Poms Garland TutorialYou can actually make quite a bit of them from just 4 sheets of tissue, and you can even try alternating different coloured tissue for a different style!

Pretty Pink Tissue Pom Poms Garland TutorialUse the remaining twine to secure it onto a longer piece of twine to make the garland. Put them up in your room or hang them from the ceiling for a party! They’re not so hard to store either, because even though they get compressed, you can always fluff them up. And compared to real cherry blossoms, they won’t wilt!
