Thanksgiving Thankful Mantel
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Let Israel say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Out of my distress, I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.
Psalm 118:1-18
God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?”
– William A. Ward
If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “thank you,” that would suffice.
– Meister Eckhart
For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Today we are sharing our Thanksgiving Thankful Mantel and hope to inspire you to create your very own.
Using tall candlesticks, we added some moss and pumpkins and turned them into pedestals.
A pewter vase makes for another great pumpkin pedestal.
We pulled out some more pewter pieces to make even more pedestals.
And we also used a couple of black candlesticks to hold a pumpkin or two.
The colors of Fall and Thanksgiving come through beautifully with the leaf garland and stems we decided to decorate with.
We used a tall glass vase to hold our Fall stems but first, we added some glittered copper ball vase filler.
Around our mirror, we hung a leaf garland.
We are so thankful and blessed in this life. The Lord is so good. We adore these chalkboard prints from the very talented and generous Nest of Posies and used all three on our Thanksgiving Thankful Mantel.
Candlelight is a must this time of year. The more the merrier!
We picked up a Fall beaded garland from Pier 1 that is just beautiful. It is a wired garland that you can bend and shape whoever you like.
We added some more votive candles by incorporating our gold and silver mercury glass holders.
And of course, a thankful paper garland went across the front of the mantel. We found the idea and free printable from Shanty 2 Chic. We backed our letters onto some heavy wrapping paper, added on some pre-cut scrap book leaves and strung it up.
We hope we have inspired you with our Thanksgiving Thankful Mantel to create your very own expression of thankfulness in your home.
